Construction Manager

Construction Managers are part of the building process from the very beginning. Their role involves: working closely with architects and engineers to go over plans and blueprints; making timetables for the project; determining material and labour costs; negotiating with and hiring subcontractors and workers; scheduling workers on site; gathering permits and making sure everything is up to code.


Electricians typically do the following: read blueprints of technical diagrams, install and maintain wiring, control and lighting systems; inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers; identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices.


The main duties of a site joiner are as follows: fitting wooden structures such as doors, window frames, staircases, partition walls, roof timbers, floor and roof joints (1st fix); installing doors, cupboards, skirting boards, door surrounds, shelving and ironmongers (2nd fix).
